I heard from Nanna Due!

Apparently my latest effort of sending a message to one of her contacts worked. Nanna sent me a message that she’s living in Oslo, has two grown children, and has twice returned to the states to visit her host family. I’m so glad to hear that she’s doing well.
Meanwhile, in my efforts to remain socially distant, I tried the Reading Terminal Market delivery service. For the duration of this crisis, they are offering free delivery within 16 miles with the code RTMFREE.
Last week I ordered from Iovine Brothers Produce and Halteman Family Meats and applied the waived delivery charge to the tip. The order arrived in the middle of the promised window with a bag of ice to keep the meat cold. I was a little leery of having someone else pick out my vegetables, but it worked out all right.
And finally, as a little followup both to my series on Janus and my post on the high school college bowl, I noticed that Betty White and her husband Allen Ludden (host of the actual College Bowl) appeared jointly in a production of Janus in 1963. Would have loved to have seen that one!
