So a woman from Peco got back to me fairly quickly and said that a crew would be here on Wednesday March 6 to install the insulation on my wires.
I relayed this information to the folks at Critter Control and they scheduled their crew to be here on Monday March 11 in the afternoon.
Things seemed to be on track again.
Except Wednesday March 6 came and went and Peco never showed up. As it had been raining most of the day, I thought that might have had something to do with it.
So the next day I called the number that the woman left and asked if they would come that day. She looked up my information and told me that the problem was that the crew had shown up, but they couldn’t get their truck into this narrow street with all the cars parked in it. They would have to reschedule, get signs put up to let folks know not to park on a given day, and then try again. She said she understood the urgency and she would get right on rescheduling it and get back to me.
When I didn’t hear from her by late in the afternoon, I sent a note to Critter Control to let them know what was going on. They got back to me and said that they had taken me off the schedule for Monday and that I should keep them informed.
The following day, meaning Friday, or yesterday, I called the woman at Peco again. She answered right away and greeted me with my name and said she was on the phone with the crew and she’d get back to me.
When she called back to me, she said that it would take two weeks to schedule putting up the signs, BUT— she had found another crew who could handle the job without the need to clear out the cars, and they’d be coming here first thing on Monday morning!
And she sounded very confident that they would get the job done. She said she would call me on Monday to confirm that the work was done.
And if that was the case, there was no need for me to have cancelled Critter Control!
So I sent them email to let them know.
So far they have not gotten back to me.
In fact, I have to say that so far, I’m not impressed with Critter Control’s service. They have not been very responsive to the email that I send them, as it often takes quite some time for them to respond.
Meanwhile, the squirrels are still up there. I think they’ve long since had their babies.
