A house down the block is having a major construction project. It looks like they’re adding a couple of extra stories to the house.
Whatever it is, there has been lot of hammering and other noises going on for the past few weeks. They start sometime before 8:00 AM and sometimes work as late as 7:00 in the evening.
As I moved to this neighborhood to get away from the constant construction noise in Center City, I’m not very happy.
However, with judicious use of my white noise machines and my noise cancelling Apple AirPods Pro, I’ve been able to manage without too much wear and tear to my nerves.
I think they’ve finally finished the frame because yesterday for the first time in weeks there was nobody working on it, and there was blissful peace and quiet in the neighborhood.
Presumably, shortly a different crew will be along to put on siding, and I’m hopeful that once the structure is closed up, most of the interior construction will continue without much noise emerging.
Meanwhile, I’m enjoying the break in the weather we’ve had the last few days. Down into the 50s F in the mornings, so I can open the windows (before the hammering begins on the construction days) and cut back on the air conditioning.
And I baked some brownies once again.
Unlike the previous time I baked brownies, this time I forced myself to share some of them with the fellow down the street who takes care of his invalid sister.
Are these regular brownies?
BTW, I included a link to the original post about the brownies that has the recipe. Here it is again.

Thanks!
If by regular you mean do they have 6 ounces of unsweetened chocolate, 12 tablespoons of unsalted butter, 2¼ cups of sugar, 4 large eggs, and a cup of toasted pecans, then yes, they are regular brownies. 😁
Lol no I meant regular vs weed brownies
Oh, gotcha. Yes, regular. 😜😜🤪
