When I first saw Lisa McManus demonstrate the Progressive Nut Chopper I thought it might be nice to have, but I didn’t chop enough nuts to make it worthwhile. I have enough gadgets, I didn’t need another one.

But since then I’ve been doing a fair amount of baking and a lot of it involves nuts.

And those nuts usually need to be chopped.

And when I take a knife and chop, the nuts start flying all over the place.

So I decided perhaps I do need another gadget.

The nut chopper arrived a few days ago and I just gave it a whirl. 

It’s much better than chopping by hand with a knife.

Turn it one way for a coarse chop, turn it the other way for a fine chop. I like to turn it a bit both ways to get some coarse and fine nuts.

I love the results.
