For years the weather reports have been using “Wind Chill” to let us know the difference between the actual temperature and the temperature that the wind is making us feel. It’s been working fine for me.
Recently I’ve noticed that my Apple weather app has eschewed “Wind Chill” for “Feels Like”, presumably in order to appeal to the stupidity of Americans who don’t understand the meaning of “Wind Chill”.
Just another part of the dumbing down of the American public.
Oh, and that same app has also been using “forecasted” when everyone knows that the past tense of forecast is simply “forecast”. No “ed” required.
No, I’m not any grumpier than usual, thank you for asking.
