When I went for my early morning walk on Sunday morning there were a lot of cop cars in the streets, some of which were blocked off.

Hmm, I thought to myself, they must be setting up for the Naked Bike Ride. Yes, that’s a thing.

As it turned out, that had been the day before. It’s so hard to keep up with all these bike things and walkathons, etc.

When I went to the Acme a couple hours later, I discovered that Sunday was the day of the 12th annual Philly 10K. I guess it must have started about the same time that I moved back to Center City.

It’s start and end points are on South Street, which as all faithful readers of this blog know is where all the hippies meet (or the hippest, depending on how one hears the lyrics).

On South Street I saw the trucks were unloading a spitload of porta-potties in anticipation of meeting the needs of the runners when they ended their run.

I had to carefully bide my time when crossing Christian Street in order to pick a lull in the stream of runners.
