One of the reasons that I usually try to give unique titles to my blog posts is so that I’ll remember what the post was about when I see the title.
Except it doesn’t work.
At least it doesn’t work most of the time.
When I look at the logs of for my blog and I see what posts people have been viewing, most of the time I have no idea what the post was about just from the title.
I see that somebody clicked on “When Will They Ever Sit Down to Dinner?”
Now off-hand, I have no idea what that one’s about. I don’t recall ever writing anything with that title.
On looking it up, it turned out be about the movie Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?
I guess that makes sense. But the title alone certainly didn’t jog my memory.
