It’s been a while since I saw Tugboat and Ted, so I was happy to run into them yesterday.

Apparently Ted left Tugboat behind with a friend when he took off for a short vacation over the July 4th holiday, and Tugboat was upset. He didn’t like having to suffer through the 100° heatwave while Ted was basking in the balmy weather elsewhere. Ted reminded him that it was, in fact, over 90° F in Mexico and that Tugger wouldn’t have liked going through the inspection at the border. Regardless, when Ted returned, Tugboat got even by sleeping downstairs for a few nights. He figured that’ll teach Ted not to leave him behind anymore.

I invited them to stop over and pick up some of the herbs that are threatening to overrun my backyard.

But this is a busy week, as Ted will be running back and forth to NYC a few times, this time with Tugboat in tow. He promised to take me up on my offer once things settle down.
