I love corn on the cob, but it takes me so long to shuck the corn, that I don’t make it very much. I hate to get the silk in my teeth, so I have to make sure that every last bit of silk is removed.
Do you have a preferred method of eating corn on the cob?
I use the Hank method myself although not so fast, but I wonder if the Boris method might be better.

I was curious if there was a better way to shuck the corn and I found this on the web:
- Trim the stem end of the corn cobs and place on a large plate then zap in the microwave until tender, about two to four minutes per ear.
- Pick up the corn by the untrimmed end and hold vertically over a cutting board or plate, giving it a few shakes.
- The clean corn will slide right out, leaving the silk neatly inside the husk!
It pretty much works! It doesn’t get every last bit of silk, but it gets 99% of it off.
