The Philadelphia Orchestra, Westminster Choir, and soloists at the conclusion of Beethoven's 9th SymphonyThe Philadelphia Orchestra, Westminster Choir, and soloists at the conclusion of Beethoven's 9th Symphony

One of these days I’ll have to learn how to pronounce Yannick Nézet-Séguin’s name; I think the diacritical marks over the e’s throw me off because they look like accents.

Anyway, this afternoon Nézet-Séguin conducted a magnificent performance of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. Who knew an hour could fly by so quickly?

I was especially impressed by the way he kept the music moving without seeming rushed.

Even more freude greeted me when I got home, as my iPhone 5s had arrived.
