News arrived today that classmate Georgene Miley passed away back in July.

This kind of news understandably is coming a bit more often these days as our high school class gets up in years.

I wish I could write about some amusing incident involving Georgene, but alas, other than vaguely recalling that yes, she was a classmate, I don’t really remember much about her at all. Our yearbook tells me that she was a Myerstown kid and she was in the Academic track, the same as I was, but I don’t recall having any classes with her, though I very well may have.

Nor can I find an obituary to fill me in on what she’s been up to in the intervening years.
