I’m trying again this year to grow tomatoes in my tiny back yard.
The idea is that the squirrels are under control, so with any luck they won’t be nibbling on any tomatoes when they appear.
I was surprised at how fast the plants zoomed up. These were just little starter plants in small containers when I planted them, and 19 days later, look at how much they’ve grown. There’s even the start of a blossom or two.
At this rate I might have a tomato in a couple of weeks.
Since I took that picture two days ago, the plants have now reached up and slightly over the top of those tomato cages. I guess they aren’t bothered by this heat wave.
