Back when I planted the tomato plants, I never expected them to grow as tall as they have. Certainly not as quickly as they did.

As I walk around the neighborhood and see other tomato plants that folks are trying to grow, none of them are nearly as high as the ones in my back yard.

In any case, when I bought wire tomato cages for them, I got the cheapest ones that Amazon offered, and now I’ve lived to regret it, because as you can see in the picture, the cheap wire tomato cage couldn’t handle the weight of my plant.

But never fear.

I was able to insert stakes and tie them up, and I think they’re recovering. Some of the tomatoes are turning red on the vine now.
