Joe Biden is an example of a politician who changed when he represented a different constituency. I never had any use for him when he was a senator from Delaware. In fact I pretty much loathed him. The way he treated Anita Hill, the way he prioritized credit card companies over ordinary people.

I was angry at Obama for elevating him to the Vice-Presidency, and I certainly didn’t want him to run for the top spot.

And then he did and he won.

And he turned out to be the best president we’ve had in years.

He changed because he was now the president of all the people of the entire country, not just senator of Delaware.

And good on him.

I’m not going to write much more because I’m weary of these presidential posts and his term in office isn’t over yet, so I’m not going to rate him.

I’ll just say that I didn’t think he was too old to run for another term, but in the end I’m glad he stepped aside because it appears to have energized the Democrats like he never could have done.

I just hope that energy is enough to prevent another term of the former guy.

As far as these presidential posts of mine, I wish I had started earlier so I could have taken a bit more time to delve into some of the presidents rather than rushing through them the way I did. Certainly some of them may have ended up with a different rating or perhaps a mixed rating. But in the end, it’s perhaps not entirely fair to attach a single rating to a president’s term in office.
