I don’t follow the news in Canada very closely. (Lately I don’t even follow it that closely in this country any more as I try to keep whatever vestiges of sanity I have left.)

I was surprised when I heard a couple of months ago that Justin Trudeau had fallen out of favor, and I still don’t know why. Maybe he had just reached his sell-by date. Most politicians do eventually wear out their welcome.

In any case I was eager to see how the recent election would turn out. 

I am very happy with the results. 

Congratulations to Prime Minister Mark Carney and the Liberal Party for carrying the day!

Most of all, thank you, Canada for giving a big poke in the eye to the Malignant Narcissistic Slug (even though he was not, of course, on your ballot).
