Coming back from the Acme on a very hot, humid morning, as I was walking south on 9th towards Fitzwater and about halfway down the block a woman in a uniform stopped me, saying, “Would you mind crossing the street? They’re filming a commercial down there.”
“Oh, what’s the commercial for?” I asked.
“That I don’t know. They didn’t tell me.”
“OK. I’ll cross the street.”
“Thank you.”
So I pulled out my phone and snapped a couple of photos.
It looked like the lights they had set up were pointing into the barber shop, so I assume they were filming or planning to film in there. Plus, they weren’t stopping the guy who was walking across Fitzwater.
I wonder if this is some sort of promotion for that Task TV show that they were filming last year? The one that stars Mark Ruffalo. It was filming right in that neighborhood. It hasn’t aired yet and I expect it might turn up right after the third season of The Gilded Age finishes its run.
