Case in point:

A few nights ago I was watching a video of an orchestra playing Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite, but I got distracted and looked something up on the internet and lost track of time until the final piece, “In the Hall of the Mountain King”, began, which yanked my attention back to the music.

When it was over I realized I had missed “Åse’s Death”, and I tried to recall how it went, but to no avail. It wasn’t important enough at the time to start the video again to replay that part, so I didn’t bother.

Anyway, the very next day when I was preparing lunch, I started up the Radio App, tuned to WQXR, and wouldn’t you know it, the piece they were playing was “Åse’s Death” from the Peer Gynt Suite.

What are the odds?
