There was an envelope from Discover Card in the mail.

Normally I throw those away because they are usually invitations to open accounts that I have no interest in opening or other advertising of some sort.

But something told me that I should open this one.

It was a letter telling me that a check for $1.23 was enclosed as that was the remaining Rewards on my account. They were sending me the check because they closed my Discover Card account.

I presume they closed it because I hadn’t used the card in quite awhile. I checked and it had been two years since the last time I used it.

Odd that they didn’t give me a warning of some sort.

Still, it’s not a big deal, as I don’t really need it any more.

Although the last card they sent me is rather attractive.
