It’s not necessary to turn to science fiction to explore areas that haven’t been explored on television previously, there are segments of American history that, at least as far as I know, have not been put on the screen before.
I hadn’t intended to do another Gilded Age post so soon, but I thought this really deserved it.

The third episode delves into Black on Black prejudice and colorism in the Black community during the time of the robber barons.
Once again, there are no spoilers in the following video if you haven’t yet watched season three, but it does show one of the plot threads that’s being pursued. The interview with Dr. Erica Armstrong Dunbar is taken from The Official Gilded Age Podcast Season 3.
By the way, colorism was not just a phenomenon of that period of history.
