April Ajoy

Quote of the day:

Outside of a dog, a book is a man’s best friend. Inside of a dog, it’s too dark to read.
—Groucho Marx

April Ajoy is a woman who gives Christians a good name.

Seriously.

I mean, if all Christians were like April Ajoy, I wouldn’t be railing against the Christian religion all the time. She’s a remarkable woman who used to be a fundamentalist right-wing Christian Nationalist but has since come to her senses and is now a sweet Christian woman with a good set of moral values and a live and let live attitude.

Of course, if all Christians were like April Ajoy, I’d probably still rail against other religions, and it wouldn’t stop me from pointing out the stupidity of the Christian religion which is not grounded in any kind of reality. I’d just lower the volume and the frequency a bit. Probably quite a bit.

In any case I strongly recommend giving her conversation with Seth Andrews a listen, as she explains how she transformed herself from a raging right-wing fundamentalist into a humanist activist.
